My first tattoo was of a grape vine. Yep! I love wine! I used to sell it and spent time in the vineyard learning about how it’s made. I was fascinated by older vines. How they were gnarly and scraggly but produced something so elegant. The balance between the strength of the roots and the beauty of the wine. Corny, but it spoke to me, so I got a tramp stamp!!
It turns out I’ve always been striving for balance. So, when I heard the yoga sutra 2.46, I was enthralled. Sthira sukham asanam: The posture for yoga meditation should be steady and easeful.
Teaching power vinyasa, yin and yoga nidra allows me to create a space for balance for my students. I feel so fortunate to be able to do so.
